Junior Software Developer / Programmer Analyst

Our team in Kingston is growing We are currently looking for 2 Junior Software Developers to join our well established contract with the Department of National Defence In this role, you will be working with C++ and Java languages on virtual and constructive simulation projects which support training of DND/Canadian Army clients.

Tasks will include: Create, modify and improve simulation software to meet specific training or experimentation requirements for virtual and constructive simulation environments.

Develop requirement, specification, and design documents for simulation capabilities.

Provide technical input to assist in the establishment of detailed maintenance policies and procedures for simulation capabilities.

Produce forms, user manuals, version description documents, and test results for simulation capabilities.

Must have at least 1-2 years of demonstrated experience with a software development role/programmer analyst role.

Must have a 2 year College level certificate in Computer Science or equivalents and a minimum of 2 years of demonstrated work experience in a software development field within the last 4 years OR a University undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering.

Candidates will be considered who have at least 6 months of demonstrated development experience creating, modifying, or improving any software application with Java, C++ or C.

The ideal person however, would have at least 6 months of demonstrated development experience creating, modifying or improving ABACUS, JCATS, JSAF, VBS (or applications that interface with them) or Simulated to Live Interface (STLI) Software (such as VCCI) with Java, C++ or C.

Will need to be eligible to apply for the Reliability and Secret level Federal Government Clearance.
