Full Job Description:

Custom Diamond is an equipment manufacturer Founded in 1932, we are a trusted leader in custom catering equipment manufacturing, specializing in the design and construction of high quality stainless steel and prefabricated millwork solutions, combining craftsmanship, precision and innovation to deliver exceptional products tailored to our customers’ needs, We are looking for a motivated Purchasing Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play an important role in managing the sourcing and production process. This position requires a strong understanding of sourcing strategies. The Purchasing Manager will work closely with the various departments to identify sourcing needs, negotiate contracts and maintain supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

* Manage the purchasing process for production, ensuring delivery times and quality standards are met.
* Negotiate prices, terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels using the ERP system.
* Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities in the system for reporting purposes.
* Maintain close relationships with suppliers to facilitate communication and resolve any issues that may arise.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
* Proven experience in procurement or purchasing.
* Proven experience in a sourcing or procurement role in a manufacturing or production environment.
* Basic knowledge of ERP systems for procurement activities.
* Good negotiation skills.
* Strong analytical skills to evaluate pricing structures.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes is an asset but not necessary.
